    30-06 Magazine

Posted by Jason M. on Aug 14th 2024

5 Round Magazine might work as a backup, but does not work for competitive shooting. Please consider making at least a 10 round magazine. The GLFA 30-06 is a solid just need the 10 round magazine.

    Great mag. Fed flawlessly.

The magazine is very well made. Definitely a solid piece. Fed 300 win mag very reliably. I really appreciated the side tabs, it made reloading extremely fast and easy. Would also like a 10 round option as long as it doesn’t get in the way of shooting prone. I was definitely impressed with the rifle. My buddy ordered one after shooting mine. Waiting on it to come in and will be giving a full review soon. Keep up the great work GLFA!

Very good quality but need more options.

Posted by Jacob Garrison on Feb 12th 2024

I actually have the 30-06 version of this rifle/magazine, however there is no store page to review on so ill do it here. The magazine is very sturdy and well machined, however 5 rounds for a single stack is not very practical for an AR platform, even if it is heftier of a caliber. I would also like to see at least a 10 round magazine; however i would recommend that you remove the pull tabs on the side. They are quite difficult to pull and hold while you still need to finagle the rounds into the top of the magazine. I would rather just top load without the tabs.

    Nice construction

The mag is nicely manufactured and feels solid. The major problem is that it is only five rounds. That is fine for some applications, but not all. There needs to be a ten rounder for competitive shooting; if not a 15.
