    GLFA .243

Posted by Stephen H. on Apr 25th 2026

I first saw one of these rifles at the Dixie Deer Classic in Raleigh, NC 2 years ago. I didn’t pull the trigger (see what I did there) at that time and I regretted it ever since. So when one came up at auction recently nib I jumped on it. With the stock trigger I shot a .67” 5 shot group at 100 yards. My copy likes Hornady 95 grain Superformance SSTs best but 100 grain Whitetail hunter shot sub moa too. It doesn’t like the Barnes 80 grain Vor-Tx though ?‍♂️. I dropped in a CMC competition trigger and shot a sub .5 5 shot group minus the flyer that was the first shot. My fault entirely but also my first time with a true single stage trigger. Anyway this is a great platform. I’m headed to South Dakota next month for some prairie dog shooting and I am looking forward to using this rifle!!

    Love this rifle.

I Love this rifle. Remington core lokt and Norma White tail ( both 100 grain) both shoot sub moa out of my rifle. I did upgrade the trigger as I didn't like the creep in the factory trigger.

    GLFA 243

Posted by Jeremiah on Oct 10th 2023

I recently purchased a 243 GLFA. Right out of the box I placed a thermal on it an sighted it in. Once on the paper this rifle is extremely accurate. At 100 yards I could almost cover 3 shots with my thumb an at 250 I could cover a group of 5 with my hand. All from shooting from a bi pod. Extremely pleased with this gun so far.
