Great Lakes Firearms and Ammunition (aka “GLFA”) is a family owned and operated firearm manufacturer in the small town of Sparta, MI. They began operation in 2013 as a retail space, but quickly noticed an opening in the market for affordable and exciting ARs. Thus began their journey into manufacturing with a mission to offer quality US made firearms at a price point that every person can afford.
What began as a retail space turned into a small CNC machine operation, and has since grown into a well-respected manufacturing company with over 30 machines running around the clock. In 2021, GLFA completed renovations to their prior facility, adding over double the square footage, a brand new retail storefront and corporate offices to hold their ever-growing staff. In 2022, a second addition was added to allow for additional machines needed to produce their brand new line of handguns.
GLFA has continued to grow solely due to word of mouth from supportive dealers and customers, all of whom desired the diverse offering of colors and calibers provided by GLFA. All GLFA rifles are Cerakoted in-house through Great Lakes Cerakote, a certified Cerakote applicator and proud owner of one of less than 40 Cerakote Robots in the world!
