    Glfa gl15

Posted by Isaac glas on May 24th 2026

Let me just start this by saying I am a novice shooter and this was my very first ar15 and I have been highly impressed with the durability and accuracy of this rifle! I have ran 4500 rounds of 5.56 and 223 and 6000 rounds of 22lr using the cmmg 22lr conversion kit and she has been nothing but reliable! Initially I was treating the rifle like a queen (cleaning after every ringer trip) but decided to make this gun a test subject just to see went it could handle. I ended up running close to 1500 rounds through it without giving it a cleaning and I will say she didn't start giving me issues until a little above the 1000 mark I would get an occasional stove pipe or failure to extract. One day I got the urge to toss it into a puddle that was about a foot and a half deep by the entrance of the range we shoot at tossed it in with the dust cover closed and a mag in the gun pulled it out after about 10 seconds shook it 2-3 and fired off the entire mag with a single hiccup. I also had an incident where the gun was in my trunk and I had a plastic folding table back there too and accelerated off of a light and that table managed to hit the emergency release and opened the trunk and the rifle fell out and ran ran over by the car behind me! Mind you I am completely unaware of this... luckily I was able to get it back my local police department got the gun back to me thank god... after getting my rifle back I noticed that the hand guard was bent all the way to one side actually pressed up to the side of the barrel and I figure she was toast but this was not the case! After completely taking the rifle down and putting it back together everything lined up perfectly and I took it back to the range and getting some rounds through it I was very impressed that the grouping was just as good as it was before that incident! Needless to say I think these rifles are amazing and definitely will be buying a few more! Thank you great lakes for building high quality rifles at the best price point on the market!!

    Amazing company, Amazing firearms

Only thing I hate about this gun is not knowing they had a all blacked out one when I bought my black cherry.. I’m not sure what kind of black they used but just looking at it online makes my mouth water lol. Either way the firearm is great, it makes me happy, it’s so fun to practice with or dump mags with. You wouldn’t regret getting any firearm from this company..

    Quality

There not another rifle on the market you can buy fully built that shoots as smooth and accurately as this rifle for the price. If you're new to AR's or considering buying this, cant recommended it enough times. Was stacking holes at 100-150 yrds. Makes for a really nice ranch/truck gun.

    GLFA-15 .223 Wylde

Picked this one up in OD green with the 18" stainless barrel. I've had Springfields, Smith & Wesson, and bushmasters but my go to every time for the last 3 years has been this GLFA-15. The accuracy from day one has always surprised me. I use a cheap Cabela's Firebolt 3x Prism, Magpul hand stop, B5 systems stock, and an 800 lumen nightstick light. Rifle always feel well balanced and I brag about it like I paid Daniel defense money for it. Plan on getting one of the larger caliber versions. Thank you GLFA.

    Ran like a dream!!

Being a hog hunting enthusiast and hunting content creator this .223 was and is my platform for out of the box operation. If you ever been hog hunting/prey stocking you know your rifle will see rain, mud, dirt and a mixture of all 3. Ran this unit for 3+ years and pig after pig dropped from 300 plus yards to close enough you can muzzle bump them its been extremely accurate and reliable. Ive fallen in creeks during freezing rain without shaking it out propped up and sent hate down range without a single malfunction BY FAR THE BEST AR IVE USED TO DATE!!! Its hard to say it my only problem is I dont live next door to GLFA or I'd be using more of their rifles hands down, this rifle was my last purchase of a gun... why need more when this one has answered the call every time.

    Quality Build Bronze/Stainless

Posted by Kim Schrock on Oct 5th 2025

Had this gun for 2 years before I fired it. Was at a friends with lots of AR's out. This AR seems to be just a little lighter than the next one but very solid. Ran flawless and very accurate. I did switch out the original break with your newer one on my stainless barrel. I'd buy another one if it was offered in a shorter rail. It is more unnecessary weight if you're shooting an optic and you don't have sights on it anyway. Keep the barrel length.

    GLFA-15

Posted by Eric T on Jan 12th 2025

Well I've had my GLFA-15 for about 2 years now. I clean my rifle every 300-400rnds and have run about 3,000 rounds through it so far with no issues other than the stereotypical overgassing. I bought an adjustable gas block and now she runs smoother than ever. I would highly recommend GLFA as an affordable and reliable option. I've been extremely impressed and satisfied with this rifle.

    First AR

Posted by Shiloh on Jan 11th 2024

The GLFA .223 Wylde is my first AR purchase and I couldn't be more pleased with how it's run. I've added a Vortex 1-8x optic and an M-Lok vertical foregrip and it's been crazy consistent once sighted in. My mentor who's an Army vet was thoroughly impressed at how it holds up compared to his bigger brand name options.

Looks even better in person! Couldn’t be happier with it. Fires flawlessly have shot around 500 rounds so far. Easily competes with the big companies out there.
